Dear Parents, I hope that your summer has been fun filled. As we gear up for the new school year, it amazes me how quickly the summer months go by and we are getting ready for a new school year at Litchfield Little School. We have some openings for fall in all the classes, so if you are responsible for a new family registering please have them give me your name for a referral rebate. Also, if your child is registered for the 4 year morning remember we have the new 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Program, call me (881-5888) for information. Orientation/Open House for the school year will be Wednesday, September 7th, 2011. Our Tu/Th class begins Thursday, September 8th, 2011. M/W/F classes first full day is Friday, September 9th, 2011. Also enclosed is the tuition payment booklet for this school year. We ask that you take a few minutes and read everything carefully. Should you have any questions, please call the school at 881-5888, so we can help. The tuition payment booklet includes nine coupons to be used with the tuition payments (one with each payment). Always reference your child’s name on your check and tuition coupon. Please make checks payable to Litchfield Little School. If you haven't made payment #1 please send it in, now. The second school payment is due on/or before September 7, 2011 at orientation. Payments 3 through 10 will be due on the first of the month. Please refer to your payment schedule in the payment booklet. As a licensed facility, the state requires us to have a current health form and immunization record in our files. Your child’s health form is due if you have not submitted it. A doctor’s computer generated generic form is acceptable but please make sure that a current date (the day of the exam) is visible and correct. Also I must have a current immunization record with a listing of all shots. (School health forms can be downloaded from our web site for your convenience to take with you to the Dr.’s office). When you arrive for your child’s orientation, Please check in with me so that we can check off together that we have all the proper paperwork completed. Orientation/Open House Day Wednesday, SEPTEMBER 7th, 2011 Orientation/open house is an opportunity to re-acquaint your child to Litchfield Little School. Because it may be a new situation for some of you, it gives you a moment to meet the staff, and get answers to any questions you might have. This is also the time to make sure that all of your paperwork is in order, and to sign up for holiday treats. Each child will receive a “Ziploc” bag for a change of clothes, a sticker with their name on it (to wear to school the first day). If your child is attending school on M/W/F (4-yr. class), please attend orientation from 9:15 a.m. until approximately 10:15 a.m. If your child is attending school on Tu./Th. Morning (3yr. class), 10:30 a.m. until approximately 11:15 a.m. Morning drop-off time begins at 8:20 a.m. and dismissal is at 11:20-11:30 a.m. If your child is attending our “full-day” program (M/W/F from 9:00 a.m. Till 2:00 P.M.) drop-off is at 9:00 and pickup is at 2:00 p.m. Also, please send your child with a lunch – if your child attends this program and doesn't have a lunch, there will be a $6.00 lunch fee, charged. Afternoon drop-off begins at 11:40 a.m. and pick-up begins at approximately 2:40 p.m. with everyone being picked up by 2:50 p.m. We do have a web site (www.LitchfieldLittleSchool.com) that my husband maintains. We try to keep it updated with all of the important things going on at school, so if you need some information and the letter or notice from school isn’t readily available, try looking here. We hope you enjoy the last few weeks of summer. It is going so quickly! We look forward to seeing everyone at orientation and beginning an exciting new school year.
