Dear Parents.
Last Summer's Camp was so much fun, we are ready to do it again! This year we will offer 2 weeks of summer camp the last two weeks of July. (July 19,20,21,22, and 23 and the week of July 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30) If we have enough commitment for weeks in August we will add them. All children are invited to attend ages 3 to 6, present enrolled children and/or children who are enrolled for next year who haven't started school yet. Our 4's who can still come to camp, and also children who have attended public or kindergarten and/or pre-school elsewhere. So if you have neighbors, please send them along, also. (If we have the enrollment we will add weeks in August, also.) We need to fill up the camp, which is why we are going with the last 2 weeks of July this year, and a wait list for children for the August weeks. We can enroll 17 children per camp week. Once again, we will offer a "pick and choose" menu for each camp week. Each week will be a self-contained thematic unit. You may sign up for one, two, with options for weeks three and four weeks. The weeks will include crafts, music, songs, dress-up costume days, books, cooking and science experiments -- all real hands on learning activities. The topics will be conducive to both outdoor and indoor activities. As always, there will be lots to do and lots of fun. We are able to have 17 children in each class. The ages include graduating kindergarten children (5/6 years old), 4's and 3's. The hours will be 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Each camp week will be Monday through Friday. I will also provide a mid-morning snack and drink. Because of the economy, we are actually "rolling back" the cost of our camp price to $80.00 (each child) per week attended. We will offer a multi-child and/or multi week discount. See enrollment form to see if you qualify. Camp descriptions are attached!
Week 3 and 4 will be added if we have enough enrollment or we will substitute the most popular weeks in July but we would announce that early on.
The camp weeks do include multiple ages, and I will have enough help that we can group the children for different activities. Registration for our summer camp weeks will be open to any child that is presently attending LLS, and will also include any child who is registered in our school for the year 2010-2011. My state license allows me to accept only children who are at least 3 years old and toilet trained. If your child is registered for fall but hasn't turned 3 but will be attending in September, they still can come to summer camp. If the classes aren't full and you have a neighbor child who might be interested, the charge would be $90.00 per student, per week. The parent would have to include a physical form (click here to download a health form))with the registration. Children that are not currently registered must be at least 4 to 6 years old. Please click here to download a registration form. Should you have any questions about this program, please feel free to call me at 881-5888 or at home 883-5778. Sincerely, Dellann Frost All of our camps offer lots of reading, music, we always add new crafts, painting, interesting snacks and appropriate play activities for the weeks, and of course, loads of FUN! Princesses and Knights Week: Our Knights and Princesses theme is always a favorite week. We will be exploring castles, and building the sand variety. Books, music and crafts will keep this week adventure fun filled! Did we mention costumes and dragons? Discovering Dinosaurs/Our Beautiful Earth: Our mornings will be filled with games, books and reading, music and crafts. Our young paleontologists will be digging for dinosaur eggs and bones, and we will be creating our own museum with our found artifacts. We will be raising and harvesting butterflies to let go into our own butterfly garden. "Reduce, Recycle and Reuse" will be the theme of our crafts and activities. Amazing Fairies and Incredible Super Heroes: We have lots of art activities, costumes and more fun keeping Litchfield Little School safe and fun. We will be exploring science experiments, books, music and good times. Loads of fun. Madagascar to the Oceans: We will be exploring everything from the Madagascar (like the movie guys) rainforest, to the oceans - we might even meet a few mermaids and pirates this week! Cause we like to "Move it, Move It! |
